Terms of use

Effective October 1, 2026. My Business Books (Launch Canadian Business Books, at mybusinessbooks.ca) is a service of Launch Canadian (Launch Canadian Inc.), Ontario, Canada. These terms are between you and us (“we”). Contact: support@mybusinessbooks.ca.

What Launch Canadian Business Books is

Launch Canadian Business Books is bookkeeping software for Ontario sole proprietors. It helps you organize records, send simple invoices and prepare information for your accountant. It is not a tax return, not tax, legal or accounting advice, and not a substitute for a professional. It doesn’t file anything with the CRA, isn’t approved by the CRA, and doesn’t connect to your bank or process payments.

Your responsibilities

Price, trial and billing

Your records

You own your records. You can export them at any time, including during a trial and after cancelling. We don’t hold access to your records hostage to payment.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Launch Canadian Business Books running and your records safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to take it offline briefly for maintenance. Support is by email at support@mybusinessbooks.ca; we aim to reply within two business days.

We may improve or change features. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and export your records before then. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give you at least 90 days’ notice so you can export everything.

Limits of liability

Launch Canadian Business Books is a tool to help you keep your own records; you remain responsible for your taxes, filings and business decisions. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses (such as lost profits, penalties or interest) caused by using the app, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act or other laws that can’t be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
